I Love Organic

Everything we want to bring forth to humanity needs to be a reflection of pure integrity on all levels. Because of that, we feel the importance of transparency and of raising the awareness regarding the Clothing Industry and how we can make a difference.

The Mainstream Clothing Industry creates a big damage to people in third world countries who grow cotton and have to rely on pesticides. Thousands die each year. They live miserable lives, tied to poverty, bound to a system that supports agro chemical suppliers. Most of these farmers have 4 or 5 acres. By allowing them to farm organically, they and their families can live a more prosperous and healthy life that allows crop rotation and non-reliance on pesticide and fertiliser sellers.

Therefore we are very grateful to have found an amazing Supplier which only works with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic Fabrics.

Organic means that the cotton is grown without the use of harmful pesticides, using pheromone traps, crop rotation, hand picking of bugs and natural repellents.
This allows farmers to grow food and keep animals instead of being reliant on costly chemicals and fertilisers. They receive more for their crop and the input costs are lower and the fabrics will be pesticide free.

The GOTS certification does not only stand for ecological security but as well for social security. That means, there must be a minimum wage and age for each employer, safety at the workplace and reasonable working hours, as well as other criteria which have to be fulfilled.

The main partner of our Supplier is Ganesh, a little organic Farmer Family from India. The process of weaving the Fabrics is very artisan. Very hands on, the yarns are dyed by hand, the weaving is done by hand on small power looms. The printing is done by hand.

The digital printed Fabrics come from a Supplier in Germany which only works with non-toxic prints.
